LOGISTICS AS A TOOL OF THE MARKET ECONOMY
Abstract
This study is a scientific confirmation of the importance of logistics as a key element for the development of the global economy, production and trade. The purpose of the study is to show the importance of logistics for economic development using empirical research. Various scientific methods were used to study the importance of logistics for economic development and its impact on trade and global GDP. The analysis of scientific literature established the theoretical foundation and key concepts in logistics and economics. A critical analysis of other studies assessed the relevance and reliability of the information used. A comparative analysis of trade, GDP, and logistics revealed the links between them. Statistical methods, including correlation and regression analysis, confirmed the importance of logistics in the global economy. According to the results of the study, it can be concluded that over the centuries, logistics has become an important and necessary component of the economy. The study showed that logistics has an impact on markets, trade and industry processes. The results of the study confirmed the importance of logistics in creating jobs, facilitating trade and increasing the competitiveness of companies, as well as its impact on innovation, technological development and environmental sustainability. The study showed that the growth of trade and global GDP largely depends on the development of logistics. Particularly impressive was the growth of the logistics industry, which proved to be stable and extremely active, especially in the period from 2020 to 2023. This fact demonstrates its growing role in supporting global trade and production. At the same time, the study found that logistics affects not only trade volumes but also global GDP, which emphasizes its importance for the overall state of the global economy. Statistical analysis revealed a very strong positive relationship between logistics and trade and GDP. This indicates that the development of logistics contributes to increased trade and economic growth. The data analysis allowed us to build models that can predict trade and GDP based on logistics data, which indicates its important role in predicting economic performance.
