STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS FOR ENSURING SOCIO-ECONOMIC SECURITY OF ENTERPRISES AND INCREASING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF THE UKRAINIAN ECONOMY IN THE CONTEXT OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
In the context of economic challenges, digital transformations, globalization, political instability, intensifying competition, and Ukraine's integration into the EU, the issue of ensuring the socio-economic security of enterprises as a prerequisite for increasing the economic stability of the state is becoming increasingly relevant. It has been proven that socio-economic security is of paramount importance for the successful operation of enterprises, which is reflected in indicators of financial stability, profitability, cost optimization, increased employment, and the provision of social guarantees to employees, as well as the promotion of innovative development, which undoubtedly affects the country's competitiveness. In particular, the rapid pace of innovative development, the impact of digitalization, the development of artificial intelligence, the socio-economic situation, and sustainable development trends reflect the need to ensure the socio-economic security of enterprises and increase the competitiveness of Ukraine's economy, which is possible by adhering to strategic directions. A comprehensive mechanism for ensuring the socio-economic security of enterprises in the context of innovative economic development has been improved. It is based on a comprehensive, systematic, and adaptive approach and contains a list of tools, elements, and stages that guarantee its effective use. The use of the mechanism is aimed at improving the socio-economic security of enterprises by adhering to approaches, implementing elements, using tools, and introducing stages that will ensure adaptation to market environment threats, financial stability, long-term competitiveness, and innovative development. The use of this mechanism made it possible to identify strategic directions for ensuring the socio-economic security of enterprises, comprehensive compliance with which will create a secure environment and maintain security in the medium term. The study identified strategic directions for improving the competitiveness of Ukraine's economy in the context of innovative development, the implementation of which will contribute to stabilizing economic development and ensuring sustainability.
