THE ROLE OF MANAGEMENT INNOVATIONS IN ENSURING AN ENTERPRISE’S ECONOMIC SECURITY
Abstract
The article examines the role of management innovations in ensuring the economic security of an enterprise. In the face of current challenges, ensuring the economic security of enterprises requires the implementation of management innovations that contribute to enhancing the adaptability, resilience, and efficiency of the management system. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the role of management innovations in ensuring the economic security of an enterprise and to identify the areas of their impact on its functional components under conditions of business environment turbulence and dynamic institutional changes. To achieve this objective, the study employed methods of analysis and synthesis, logical generalization, systemic and structural-functional analysis, comparison, classification, and scientific abstraction. The article analyses academic approaches to the interpretation of the concept of ‘management innovation’ and proposes the author’s own definition. The characteristic features of management innovations are identified, and their dependence on the specifics of the enterprise’s activities is substantiated. It is established that the modern paradigm of economic security is based on a shift from static protection to a proactive response to challenges posed by the internal and external environment. It is demonstrated that management innovations are an important factor in this transformation, as they foster synergy between protection against threats, enterprise adaptability, and long-term development. The impact of modern management tools on the components of an enterprise’s economic security is examined. The main risks associated with management innovations and the organizational prerequisites for their successful implementation are identified. The sequence of stages for implementing innovations in the management system is outlined. The practical value of the findings lies in their applicability to the development and implementation of management innovations within the enterprise’s management system, aimed at enhancing its economic security in a turbulent business environment.
