PECULIARITIES OF EVALUATING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF MANAGERIAL DECISIONS UNDER MODERN CONDITIONS

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to identify and systematize the key features of evaluating the effectiveness of managerial decisions in modern conditions, considering the integration of financial and non-financial indicators, digital technologies, and personnel competency development. The relevance of the topic is driven by the high dynamism of the economic, technological, and social environment, growing competition, globalization, and rapid innovation, which complicate managerial processes and require timely, well-grounded, and adaptive decision-making. Traditional evaluation approaches often fail to fully capture the comprehensive impact of managerial decisions on financial, strategic, social, and technological outcomes, necessitating the use of integrated assessment methods. The methodological framework of the study is based on a comprehensive analysis of scientific literature, comparative analysis of traditional and modern evaluation criteria, and the application of systemic and inductive–deductive approaches to generalize theoretical and practical insights. Structural analysis methods are also employed to identify interrelations among financial, organizational, social, and strategic indicators of managerial effectiveness. The findings indicate that managerial decision effectiveness should be understood as the degree to which organizational goals are achieved through rational resource utilization and risk minimization, assessed using integrated indicators. The study substantiates the shift from financially oriented criteria to comprehensive models incorporating KPI, Balanced Scorecard, multicriteria decision analysis, scenario modeling, and digital analytical tools such as BI systems and artificial intelligence. These approaches enhance objectivity, forecasting accuracy, and organizational adaptability. The practical significance of the article lies in the development of applied recommendations for domestic enterprises on implementing integrated systems for evaluating managerial decision effectiveness. These recommendations support improved monitoring, feedback, strategic adjustment, and sustainable development, thereby strengthening competitiveness in a volatile external environment.
