Abstract

The article presents the results of a comprehensive theoretical and applied study focused on the profound transformation of the stressogenic landscape within the professional activities of economists in the specific context of 2025. It is substantiated that the current stage of global economic development, characterized by the mass integration of agentic artificial intelligence (AI) and the stabilization of hybrid employment models, creates qualitatively new and complex socio-psychological challenges that traditional stress management frameworks fail to address. For the first time, the study provides a detailed analysis of the impact of technogenic stress associated with the increasing autonomy of AI systems. This phenomenon induces a state of chronic anxiety among specialists due to the constant necessity of verifying "black box" decisions and an underlying fear of losing professional relevance in an automated economy. The research reveals the essence of "digital alienation," which manifests through the erosion of the traditional institution of mentorship and the degradation of "office osmosis" mechanisms. The deficit of emotional context in digital communications is shown to lead to profound social deprivation and the professional isolation of financial analysts and economists. Special attention is paid to the phenomenon of "ethical stress" within the framework of global ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) transformation. Modern economists are increasingly forced to balance between rigid financial KPIs and strict socio-environmental mandates, creating a deep internal value dissonance. The study characterizes contemporary psychosomatic consequences of professional burnout, specifically focusing on "decision fatigue" and "cognitive entropy" as systemic risks to organizational stability. Furthermore, the paper explores the concept of cognitive resilience as a necessary competency for the modern professional. The research findings offer a practical foundation for HR management and heads of economic departments to develop sophisticated digital hygiene strategies. These measures are essential for protecting and strengthening corporate mental capital, ensuring the psychological well-being of employees, and maintaining operational efficiency in the turbulent digital era of the mid-2020s.
