ON SOME APPROACHES TO THE ANALYSIS OF ENSURING CONDITIONS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE UKRAINIAN ECONOMY

Abstract

The article is devoted to the definition of approaches to the systematic and in-depth analysis of the creation of preconditions for sustainable economic development of modern countries. The defining point of this problem is a careful study of the overall stability of the economy, the level of which largely depends on the degree of stability of its components (economic, social, environmental, man-made, demographic types of stability). It is substantiated that the analysis of the general stability of the economic system should be carried out taking into account changes within each of the types of stability, their interaction and interdependence. At the same time, the definition of the general stability of the economy should be preceded by a thorough study of the essence of theories of economic growth, which are devoted to the consideration of gradual, stable and long-term development of economies. It is noted that an important place in the development of concepts of sustainable development is occupied by the question of the theoretical foundations of economic security, the use of indicators to assess its levels. Systematic and abstract-logical approaches are used in the work. At the same time, and this is emphasized, the calculated and ranked indicators alone, without taking into account the state of general stability of the economy for the period of research of the problem, cannot provide a complete informative basis for further practical actions. However, despite the existing relationship between the concepts of “economic security” and “overall stability of the economic system”, they are studied separately, if in different planes, without analyzing their relationship, which does not allow effective regulatory action to smooth shocks within the national economy. The article also shows that the information materials obtained as a result of diagnostic techniques are not always fully used by public officials in the process of adopting programs and carrying out economic reforms. The latter cannot be explained by purely organizational and personnel miscalculations. Subjective, directive methods and conjuncture political decisions still play a significant role in the state management of our country’s economy.
