ASSESSMENT OF CONSUMER PROPERTIES AND FURNITURE EXPERTISE

Abstract

The article is relevant because it raises issues related to the assessment of consumer properties and the examination of furniture products. The group of furniture products includes a large number of items that surround a person in his everyday life. Modern furniture is characterized by high functionality and comfort, polymateriality, serial design based on broad normalization and unification of elements, high manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of production, expansion and updating of the nomenclature, reliability in operation. Special attention is paid to decorative and artistic characteristics and comfortable conditions for the operation of furniture. The furniture market of Ukraine, with the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into the territory of our country, significantly reduced its volumes due to a sharp drop in the purchasing power of the population. Over the past year, furniture production has been restored. The analysis of literary sources confirmed that there is an insufficient number of publications on the issues of assessing consumer properties and the examination of furniture products. The article examines the basic requirements for furniture, namely: functional, constructive, aesthetic, ergonomic, hygienic, requirements for strength and durability. Factors that shape the quality of furniture products are considered: raw materials, processing and assembly, decoration. Factors that affect the quality of furniture are studied. The algorithm for conducting an examination of furniture products is specified: general requirements are updated, control methods are characterized, and the procedure for drawing up examination results is improved. It is established that the quality of furniture depends on the level of design development, regulatory and technical documentation, technological preparation, production organization, dimensional, technical and economic, aesthetic and other characteristics, as well as on the quality of raw materials and starting materials, all factors are regulated by the State Standard of Ukraine and other documents. As a result of the work carried out, it was concluded that the problem of assessing consumer properties and examination of furniture continues to remain relevant. Conquering the market and consumer loyalty is impossible without creating high-class and quality products, competitive prices and in accordance with the requirements of national standards.
