Abstract

The article reveals the essence of the concept of childhood trauma and economic potential. The author has conducted a study of the presence of negative childhood experience in the past of an adult personality and analyzed its impact on the personality, including economic potential. The article analyzes the relationship between childhood trauma and the ability to achieve economic success in adulthood. The study showed that negative childhood experiences can significantly limit the economic potential of an individual through the impact on self-esteem, motivation, decision-making ability and interaction with other people. The conclusions of the article emphasize the importance of early psychological assistance and support to minimize the long-term negative consequences of childhood trauma. The article presents arguments on how childhood experience affects all aspects of a person's life, including their economic potential. Each question of the methodology is an example of the fact that in one way or another every adult is a traumatized child who lives his or her life with baggage that needs to be corrected. Only by getting rid of unnecessary negative experience can a person be "useful" in the economic sphere, be capable of entering and adapting to new teams, successful employment, productive work, and self-development in general. Mental trauma significantly damages the system of relationships between people, resulting in risky economic behavior, underestimation of entrepreneurial initiative, unmotivated risk-taking, insufficient risk assessment, and unsuccessful economic decisions. This topic requires more detailed research, as it is extremely relevant. An in-depth study of the impact of childhood psychological trauma on the economic potential of an individual can help to develop effective strategies for supporting and rehabilitating victims, which, in turn, will contribute to their successful socio-economic development.
