Abstract
The development of viticulture under conditions of military operations has become a significant challenge for producers. At present it is necessary to develop viticulture as a promising branch of agribusiness taking into consideration market conditions, improving cultivation technologies and implementing innovations in this industry. Innovations and efficient risk management can help viticulture develop under conditions of uncertainty, offering new opportunities and maintaining stability. The purpose of the article is to analyze the current state of the functioning of viticulture in Ukraine in the period of military operations and determine priority directions of its development for the future. The study examines analytical and applied aspects of the functioning of viticulture as a promising branch of agricultural production. It analyzes the state of the industry under conditions of martial law, and identifies main tendencies characteristic of the volumes of production. The article also determines priority directions of the industry development and its revitalization in the postwar period. At present viticulture and wine production are high-tech processes, therefore our producers should exploit all opportunities in applying innovative technologies and processes if they want to be competitive on the European and global markets. However, it is necessary to highlight that revitalization of viticulture as well as other branches of agriculture in the postwar period may depend on different factors such as economic conditions, technological processes, governmental support and international tendencies of wine consumption. It is highly important for Ukraine to protect the branch of viticulture from a negative impact of the war with further restoration, since viticulture and wine production are essential components of economy and cultural heritage of the country. Currently it is also important to provide producers with access to information about support and resources which can be used under conditions of martial law. Collaboration of different subjects, including the government, industry organizations and international partners, can be crucial for maintaining viticulture in Ukraine.
